  • Administration
    • Receptionist
      We are looking for a Seasonal Receptionist (Preferable mid May- mid September) to perform a variety of administrative tasks and concierge services. Duties of the Receptionist include working the Reception/Member-Services desk, providing support to our managers and members, and assisting in daily office and Membership needs.The ideal candidate should be friendly, responsible, well-presented and professional with excellent oral and written communication skills and able to organize their work using MS Office programs and office equipment. If you also have previous experience as a receptionist or concierge and/or familiarity with the hospitality industry we’d like to meet you. 
      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:      
      -Answers incoming calls and route callers to appropriate extensions
      -Act as the point of contact for members and guests
      -Accepts and confirms reservations for dining room, fitness and member special events
      -Provides information, including club communications/events/tournaments and other area events to members and guests
      -Collects and posts outgoing mail, including shipping requests such as UPS , FedEx and forwarding mail for members
      -Provide concierge services such as arrangements for airport transportation, boat rentals, zip-lining, etc.
      -Maintains lost and found program
      -Assist with correspondence and special requests as needed
      -Maintain confidentiality
      -Performs other duties as assigned
      Requirements:
      -Friendly phone presence
      -Working knowledge of office equipment like printers and fax machines
      -Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and Power Point preferred)
      -Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
      -Attention to detail and problem solving skills
      -Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      -Reception/Concierge/Office Assistant/Customer Service experience appreciated 
  • Food & Beverage
    • Server/Bartender
      The purpose of these positions is to interact with Club members and ensure they have a great experience when dining in all Food & Beverage areas. Servers and bartenders are responsible for positive member interactions while serving members and guests in a friendly and efficient manner.  At all times, servers and bartenders are expected to be attentive to member’s needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. We are seeking individuals who possess superior knowledge of food, wine and spirits and have at least 2-3 years experience serving in an upscale dining atmosphere.  Experience with country clubs/private clubs preferred.  Individual must be able to work evenings, weekends and long days. 

      Assistant Server
      This position will assist servers with different aspects of the member dining experience.  This includes greeting guests with water service, clearing dishes and silverware from tables and resetting tables in a speedy, professional and effective manner. Individuals must be able to work evenings and weekends. Experience in Food & Beverage preferred but not required. Event Setup Crew MemberThe primary responsibility for the

      Event Setup Crew Member
      The primary responsibility for the Event Setup Crew Member is to assist and take the lead on preparations for member and private events at the Club. This includes setting up for tournament and catered events in the Event Center, in or around the Clubhouse or throughout the golf course. This position will also assist other departments when needed and in any capacity. Individuals must be able to work evenings and weekends.

  • Kitchen
    • Pantry/Garde Manager Cook
      Some of the responsibilities include prepping and stocking the garden manager station for service with appropriate par levels according to our expected volume. Create and plate salads, cold appetizers, and desserts in a timely and efficient manner according to standards and protocol. Must have the ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and work well with others. 

      PM Shift Hot Line Cook
      Some of the responsibilities include prepping and stocking your station for service with appropriate par levels according to our expected volume. Create and plate hot appetizers and entrees in a timely and efficient manner according to standards and protocol. Must have the ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and work well with others. 

      Pastry/Prep Cook
      Create pastries and desserts according to the Executive Chef’s directions. Must have strong understanding of units of measurement and conversions to accurately follow and scale recipes. Must have a passion for baking and working with breads and pastries. Prep other food items such as sauces, dressings, salsas, cutting and washing lettuces, etc. Must work well with others, have a positive attitude, and be a strong multi-tasker.

      Sushi Chef
      Some of the responsibilities include prepping and stocking the station for service with the appropriate par levels according to expected volume. Create and plate sushi rolls and cold appetizers in a timely and efficient manner according to standards and protocol. Work with the Executive Chef and sous chef to create new sushi rolls and special menu items. Must have the the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure and with others. Must have a strong passion for and experience with rolling sushi. 

      AM Breakfast/Lunch Cook
      Open the kitchen each morning, set up cook line and dish area with sanitation equipment and cooking equipment. Create a fresh, flavorful and creative soup from scratch with a suitable garnish and make proper amount for expected volume. Prep and stock the line for the day’s service as well as make breakfast and lunch menu items in a timely and efficient manner up to standards and protocol. Must work well with others, have a positive attitude and be very reliable to open kitchen on time each morning. 

      Dish Machine Operator
      Responsibilities include washing dishes, silverware, pots/pans, etc., in a timely manner and up to standards. Taking out trash, replenishing plates and pans to the cook line during service, keeping dish area clean and organized throughout the shift. Assisting cooks with prep tasks, assisting with general cleanliness and organization of kitchen including sweeping, moping, breaking down boxes, and other tasks.
  • Golf & Outside Service
    • Outside Service (3 or 6 month commitment)
      The Golf Club at Black Rock is currently seeking highly motivated individuals with: an excellent customer service skill, strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliable and a team player. All members of the staff are considered to be an integral part of the team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: daily golf car services, control of bag storage, daily driving range duties, preparing golfers for their round, taking care of golfers after their rounds, assisting in any other areas of the member services operation, and the opportunity to work shifts in the Golf Shop on a limited basis. Proven interns will also have the opportunity to caddie throughout the season to earn extra money. This position will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience at a high service oriented facility. Private club experience is preferred. You will also be required to complete a standard background check and drug test. Past PGM interns have gone on to succeed as Head Professionals, 1st Assistant Golf Professionals, and Assistant Golf Professionals at some of the best clubs throughout the country. The start and end dates are flexible but ideally we would like our 3-month employees May through the middle of August and 6-month employees May through October. Benefits:

      Valet Attendant
      This position is responsible for greeting all members and guests as they arrive at the Club. A positive, engaging attitude is a must as well as the ability to communicate with the Club’s security and other departments via radio. Those applying for this position will be responsible for parking and retrieving vehicles and maintaining an organized list of the location of all vehicles. Also, must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive club vehicles and carts.
  • Golf Maintenance
    • Performs routine manual labor involved in golf course, and landscape maintenance, including semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work by performing the following duties: 
      -Keeps assigned equipment and shop area clean on a daily basis.
      -Operates mowers, tractors, trimmers, hand tools, and other light equipment.
      -Prepares vehicle and equipment for daily tasks. 
      -Returns equipment to designated area when task is completed.
      -Complies with basic maintenance procedures of assigned equipment: maintains fuel and fluid levels; reports any problems immediately to Equipment Manager.
      -Assists in the construction of new greens, tees and fairways; grades and prepares soil base, lays sod, and seeds tees, greens, and fairways.
      -Edges cart paths.Edges, rakes, and maintains sand bunkers.
      -Sets tee markers and cups.  
      -Removes debris; sands and seeds tee and drop area divots; cleans flowerbeds.Irrigates and fertilizes rough, tees, greens and fairways.  
      -Applies chemicals on landscaped areas under supervision and direction of a certified applicator.
      -Excavates and backfills ditches and trenches with hand tools.
      -Ensures proper clean up and disposal of waste material.
      -Conforms to all safety rules, uses all appropriate safety equipment.
      -Maintains records and logs, and prepares any required reports.
      -Performs other duties as assigned. 
      Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.             
      Education and experience:  Previous experience working with irrigation systems, plumbing, grounds maintenance or related field experience preferred.  Working knowledge of and ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other related equipment. Demonstrated ability to follow both oral and written directions.             
      Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required. Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

  • Housekeeping
    • Housekeeping Attendant
      This position accounts for the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned areas in the Clubhouse, the outside facilities, as well as residential homes. Housekeepers are required to maintain good health as most of the tasks involve physical work where they are needed to stand, walk, lift, and bend throughout their shifts. Other typical responsibilities include sweeping, vacuum cleaning, washing, polishing, and dusting as appropriate. Additionally laundry duties are included such as washing, sluicing, drying, ironing, sorting, and folding of clothes. Must be able to communicate politely and professionally with members and other staff as well as follow directions and have a high level of attention to detail. Also must have a valid drivers license and be able to drive club vehicles and carts.
