Once you've seen it... you'll buy it.
Once you've bought it... you'll never sell it.
Over a million years ago, lava poured over Northern Idaho and hardened into the dense basalt black rock that lies beneath this remarkable site. Deer, elk, wild turkey and other wildlife have been Black Rock's only inhabitants, and still crisscross the site to graze among the wetland cattails, providing residents a real life nature show daily. You will also often see eagles, hawks and osprey gliding above the black rock cliffs and out over the lake.
