Life is Always Good at the Golf Course

When people think Black Rock, the first thing that comes to mind is world-class private golf. And rightfully so. Course architect Jim Engh has crafted 18 completely unique holes through wooded forests, across prairies and wetlands, and around towering waterfalls and enormous outcroppings of basalt from which Black Rock gets its name. Members have described the experience as 'addictively challenging', and they aren't the only ones talking. The course layout, with its jaw-dropping views of Lake Coeur d'Alene, was enough to earn the illustrious title of Golf Digest's Best New Private Course of 2003 and enough to name Jim Engh the publication's first-ever Architect of The Year.

*The Golf Club at Black Rock has remained in Golf Digest's Top 100 Golf Courses since opening in 2003.
